Plans submitted for 100-home Hampshire scheme
A Hampshire housebuilder has submitted detailed plans for 100 new homes as part of the next phase of a Fordingbridge residential development.
Pennyfarthing Homes has lodged a reserved matters application for the next stage of its Sandle Park scheme, located off Whitsbury Road.
The plans follow approval for the first phase of 74 homes in May 2025, with construction due to begin imminently.
The latest phase proposes a mix of one to four-bedroom homes, with 25 per cent allocated as affordable housing through Affordable Rent, Shared Ownership and the First Homes scheme.
Plans also include 35 single-storey bungalows, designed to support downsizers and buyers seeking more accessible living.
Green space forms a key part of the proposals, with landscaping, a large play area, informal open spaces and existing footpath connections to the surrounding countryside included in the design.
Nick Stone, land and planning director at Pennyfarthing Homes, said: “The first phase of Sandle Park was met with support from the council, and we are excited to build on that success with this next 100 homes.
“This phase delivers a carefully crafted mix of homes and green spaces, ensuring Sandle Park meets local needs while enhancing Fordingbridge’s character.
“Our focus on sustainable design, accessibility, and quality materials means this will be a place people are proud to call home.”
