Confidence Coach raises the bar with fourth site
A North East fitness business is flexing its growth ambitions after announcing plans to open a fourth gym in response to growing demand for personalised coaching-led training.
The Confidence Coach has signed the lease on a new site in Stocksfield, with the latest location expected to open towards the end of 2026.
Founded by Newcastle entrepreneur Aaron Swales, the company has grown from a personal training venture into a network of fitness clubs operating across the region.
Aaron launched The Confidence Coach after identifying a gap in the market for people who felt unsupported or intimidated by traditional gym environments.
Specialising in small-group personal training, The Confidence Coach now operates gyms in South Gosforth, Ponteland and North Shields, with the latter opening in November 2025.
More than 500 members train across its sites, with the gyms building a strong reputation through word-of-mouth referrals and positive customer feedback.
Aaron said: “Many people weren’t interested in fitness trends, transformation challenges or spending hours in the gym.
“They wanted expert guidance, accountability and somewhere they felt comfortable walking through the door.
“Too often, people were trying to navigate busy gym floors on their own, surrounded by distractions and feeling like they didn’t belong.
“I wanted to create an environment where people felt supported from day one.”
The follows continued growth across all three existing locations and increasing demand for a more personalised approach to health and fitness.
Aaron says the move into Stocksfield will extend that approach to more communities across the region, providing access to expert support in a welcoming training environment.
He added: “Moments like this make me stop and reflect on how far we’ve come.
“From our first members walking through the doors to now preparing for location four, it’s been built on people, relationships and a shared commitment to improving lives.
“I’m incredibly grateful to our team, our members and everyone who has supported us along the way.
“This next chapter is another exciting step forward, and we can’t wait to bring what we do to even more people across the region.”
Further details about the Stocksfield site and its opening plans are expected to be announced in the coming months as the company prepares for the next stage of its growth journey.
