Atlas Copco Rental strengthens leadership team
Atlas Copco Rental UK and Ireland has strengthened its senior leadership team with the appointment of David Walker as operations manager and the promotion of Byrone Thorne to sales and business development manager.
David joins the business with more than 25 years of experience in the specialist hire sector, having held senior sales and operational roles across the industrial, commercial and construction markets.
In his new position, he will oversee operational performance and support the growth of the rental division.
David said: “Atlas Copco Rental has a rich history, strong structure and a positive culture.
“This, alongside the growth opportunities within the business were key factors in attracting me to the role.
“With a history in sales before moving into operational leadership, I look forward to harnessing my experience to develop and enhance the already exceptional capabilities and expertise within the UK and Ireland team.”
Meanwhile, Byrone takes on his new role after more than two decades with Atlas Copco, having held a range of sales and marketing positions across the business in South Africa and Europe.
He added: “I’m delighted to be working with such a fantastic sales team that is already well established across the UK and Ireland.
“Together, we will put in to practice further frameworks to ensure the successful delivery of tailored solutions to our customers across air, power (incl. energy storage), heating and cooling.”
David’s appointment and Byrone’s promotion support Atlas Copco Rental’s plans to expand its presence across air, power, steam, nitrogen and cooling solutions.
They also form part of the company’s wider strategy to grow its rental operations and develop new opportunities in industrial and offshore markets.
