Housebuilder in 400-home quarry site plans
A housebuilder has submitted plans for a 400-home estate on a former quarry site.
Anwyl Homes hopes to transform a 54-acre Cheshire base into a residential and commercial hub.
Earmarked for the old White Moss Quarry site, on the outskirts of Alsager, near Crewe, bosses say it would feature one to four-bed homes including a number of affordable properties.
The blueprint also features a care home, a commercial and community centre and two children’s play areas.
If approved by Cheshire East Council, the site’s first homes could be completed in late 2028.
Mark Calvert, Anwyl Homes Cheshire and North Wales’ managing director, said: “White Moss presents an opportunity to bring much-needed new homes to Alsager, alongside a range of community and commercial facilities.
“Our plans will see the long-term restoration of the site into a high-quality, mixed-use development.”
