Studio set to fire up creative ambitions

A North Wales production studio has opened to help businesses and creators produce professional podcasts, videos and branded content.

Dragon Forge Studios has launched at Florence House in Mold, offering an affordable recording and production space for companies, entrepreneurs and individuals.

The venture has been created by Rob Lewis, managing director of Celtic Financial Planning and founder of Fincate, after he struggled to find a suitable local venue to launch his own podcast.

He is joined by filmmaker and video coach Michael David Roberts, of Take the Cake Productions, who brings professional film and video production experience to the project.

The studio represents an investment of more than £15,000 in equipment, including microphones, speakers, lighting, audio-visual production facilities and new furniture.

Facilities include a professional recording and presenting area, live streaming capability, a green room and breakout space with refreshments.

Clients can hire the studio independently, bring their own production team or access full support including filming, editing and interview hosting.

Rob said: “There's a huge appetite for podcasting and video content, but when I looked into it, there were very few affordable, local options.

“That’s what sparked the idea, creating something accessible, flexible and genuinely useful for people who want to get started or take their content to the next level.

“It’s about giving people options.

“You can come in and do everything yourself, or we can support you with the full production.

“Either way, you’re getting a professional result without having to invest thousands of pounds in your own setup.”

Rob is also launching his own podcast, Diaries of the Bearded IFA, featuring interviews with business owners and leaders from across North Wales and beyond.

The podcast will be available on YouTube, Spotify, Apple podcasts and other major platforms.

Rob added: “This is about shining a spotlight on the people behind the businesses, especially SMEs, which are the backbone of our economy.

“Guests will not only share their stories but also come away with content they can use on their own channels.

“It’s collaborative, supportive and designed to deliver real value.”
