Workwear firm expands with double acquisition
A workwear supplier has expanded with a double deal.
Corporate Trade Supplies UK bought Industrial Workwear and Schott Packaging.
The operator says the moves will “strengthen its position as the UK’s fastest-growing independent supply chain and workwear specialist”.
Formerly based in Consett, County Durham, Industrial Workwear’s range includes jackets, safety boots and uniforms, with Darlington’s Schott Packaging known for products includi ng cardboard boxes and bubble wrap packaging.
The agreements come after Corporate Trade Supplies UK – which operates from bases in Northallerton, North Yorkshire; Haworth, near Doncaster; and Carlton Miniott Business Park, on the outskirts of Thirsk – recorded £45 million turnover.
Howard Gill, managing director at the firm, which supplies printed and embroidered clothing, footwear and personal protection equipment to clients including Aldi, Waitrose, Jaguar Land Rover and HSBC, said: “These two acquisitions are a crucial part of our long-term expansion plans.
“Industrial Workwear has been serving businesses across the North East for 25 years; by welcoming it into the group, we’re expanding our reach across the region and strengthening what we can deliver.
“With more than 30 years’ experience, Schott Packaging has built a strong reputation for reliability, breadth of product and consistent service.
“We are enhancing our ability to support customers with a more complete supply solution – combining packaging, workwear and essential operational products through a single and reliable partner.”
Andrew Forster, Industrial Workwear managing director, said: “Our clients can be confident that the personal, dedicated service they have always received remains at the heart of what we do.”
Tom Schott, managing director at Schott Packaging, added: “Corporate Trade Supplies UK’s long-term vision, investment and strong momentum made this a natural fit for us.”
