Facilities specialist lands European contract
A facilities support services provider is expanding into mainland Europe after securing a landmark international contract.
UK Commercial Group Ltd, which has headquarters in London and offices in Newcastle, Manchester and Leeds, will begin delivering services across Europe from January 2027.
The contract will see the business provide servicing, maintenance, repair and specialist cleaning for heating, ventilation and air-conditioning systems and air handling units.
Work is expected to span ten European countries, including France, Germany, Italy, Spain and Switzerland, for a leading leisure operator and several private healthcare providers.
The move marks a significant milestone for the company, which has built its reputation in the UK through specialist compliance, maintenance and facilities support services.
Bosses say the expansion has been driven by growing demand from multinational organisations seeking consistent service delivery across multiple territories.
They add the move has required significant planning and investment, particularly given the operational complexities of working across different European jurisdictions following Brexit.
Tony Earnshaw, chief executive of UK Commercial Group Ltd, said: “Expanding our operations into Europe is a strategic and necessary step for our business.
“For too long, many British companies have focused primarily on circulating capital within domestic markets.
“Sustainable economic growth requires businesses to look outward, develop international partnerships and attract new revenue streams into the United Kingdom.
“This expansion not only supports that objective but also enables us to better serve our growing portfolio of international clients.
“Our new European contract will involve maintaining critical infrastructure within leisure and healthcare environments, ensuring systems operate safely, efficiently and in full compliance with industry and regulatory standards.”
Tony added: “We are excited to begin this new chapter and look forward to working closely with our European clients as we continue to expand our presence.
“This is an important step forward for the business and demonstrates the confidence we have in our people, our expertise and our long-term future.”
