Engineering firm reels in new Norway contract
A specialist engineering consultancy has secured a new international contract as it continues to expand its presence in the Norwegian offshore market.
T12 Engineering will provide engineering and project management services for the transportation of a 100-tonne subsea reel from Norway to the UK.
Covering everything from project management and seafastening design to engineering support and HSE management, the contract will see T12 deliver a comprehensive range of services.
Alongside this work, the firm will coordinate activity across the supply chain, vessel and receiving facility.
The 100-tonne subsea reel, measuring 11.5 metres high and five metres wide, is being returned to its UK owner after being used in a subsea umbilical installation.
Winning the contract builds on T12’s recent growth in Norway, including the successful delivery of a gravity-based structure from Immingham for an independent Norwegian oil and gas operator.
Graham Melroy, director of T12 Engineering, which has offices on Teesside, Glasgow, Edinburgh and, most recently, Oslo, said: “Securing this latest contract further highlights the value of the relationships we have built within the Norwegian offshore and energy sectors.
“Over the past year, we have continued to strengthen our presence through the successful delivery of complex engineering and project management projects
“This most recent award is a positive reflection of the confidence clients have in our ability to deliver technically demanding scopes safely, and efficiently.
“Norway remains a strategically important market for T12, and it is encouraging to see our investment in the region continuing to generate new opportunities and build momentum for future growth.”
