Tech firm hails momentum after £400,000 agreement
A technology firm has hailed its “momentum and confidence” after strengthening its order book with a £400,000 deal.
Filtronic is set to supply satellite-based apparatus to an unnamed US customer.
The agreement follows a £6 million contract with the same client and further headline partnerships with operators including SpaceX, which bosses say leave the business primed to “convert growing market demand into sustained value creation”.
They add the radio frequency parts maker, headquartered at NETPark, in Sedgefield, County Durham, is also set to report revenue of at least £55.5 million in the year to May 31 and deliver higher-than-expected adjusted EBITDA of at least £11.1 million.
Saluting a “further step in Filtronic’s transformation into a business operating at greater scale”, chief executive Nat Edington said the company has entered its 2027 financial year with a “strong order book and increasing visibility”.
He added: “This additional US contract reflects the strength of our customer relationships and reinforces the expanding opportunity landscape for our specialist complex radio frequency technologies.
“The 2026 financial year marked another year of strong strategic progress, with continued investment in technology, operational capability and customer diversification strengthening our foundations for long-term growth.
“Together, these actions are positioning the group to capture the significant opportunities ahead and convert growing market demand into sustained value creation.”
