Skipton Group appoints chief internal auditor

Skipton Group has appointed Caroline Dale as group chief internal auditor, subject to regulatory approval.

Caroline will join the business in January 2027 from Leeds Building Society, where she served as chief internal auditor. 

A chartered accountant, she brings extensive experience in financial services audit and senior leadership, having also previously worked at KPMG.

In her new role, Caroline will lead Skipton Group’s internal audit function, providing independent assurance across the organisation and supporting robust governance, risk management and controls.

She will report to board audit committee chair Iain Cummings. 

Interim group chief internal auditor David Meechie will remain with the organisation until February 2027 to support the transition.

Caroline’s appointment reinforces Skipton Group’s focus on strong governance as it continues to support sustainable growth and positive outcomes for members and customers.
