S&W expands international tax offering with new business tax Partner
S&W, the fast‑growing professional services group, is pleased to announce the appointment of Ben Sharpe as International Tax Partner in its business tax team, based in London. The hire forms part of the firm’s continued growth strategy and reflects its ongoing investment in broadening its international tax capabilities for mid-market and international clients.
Ben is an international and corporate tax specialist who advises private equity (PE) and non-PE backed groups on domestic and cross-border transactions, structuring engagements and a wide range of business tax advisory matters. He brings deep expertise in helping organisations navigate increasingly complex global tax environments.
Prior to joining S&W, Ben spent 15 years at PwC and more recently EY, where he was promoted to partner in 2025. At EY, he held a cross-team role spanning international corporate tax advisory and PE funds corporate tax advisory, where he was at the forefront of advising clients on new and developing technical matters across both PE and non-PE contexts.
At S&W, Ben will play a key role in further developing the firm’s international tax offering, working closely with colleagues across the wider tax and advisory teams to deliver integrated, cross-border solutions to clients.
Commenting on his appointment, Ben Sharpe, Partner, international business tax, S&W, said: “I’m delighted to be joining the firm at a time when international and domestic tax matters continue to remain under significant scrutiny, while showing no sign of becoming less complex. I look forward to supporting the continued growth of S&W and working closely with clients, from private equity and private equity-backed groups through to other ambitious organisations, to navigate that complexity in a practical and commercially focused way.”
Mark Webb, Head of Business Tax at S&W, added: “Ben’s appointment reflects our continued investment in strengthening and broadening our business tax capabilities. International tax is a key area of focus for our clients, particularly in light of ongoing global tax reform and increasing complexity. Ben’s experience and expertise will be invaluable as we continue to support clients with high-quality, commercially driven advice as part of our long-term growth strategy.”
