Consultancy unveils 'rare' city development space
A real estate consultancy has unveiled an “exceptionally rare” city development space.
Knight Frank has brought a 1.97-acre Newcastle site to market.
It says the venture – set between the city’s Quayside and City Road – provides developers with a chance to “deliver a landmark scheme in a sought-after location”.
Surrounded by hotels, restaurants and operators including Dakota, Malmaison, Pitcher & Piano and Victors, the firm adds the space could be transformed into residential or mixed-use development, boutique commercial or hospitality use.
Patrick Matheson, partner at Knight Frank, which runs a Newcastle office and has launched the site on behalf of Homes England, said: “Opportunities of this scale and prominence on the city’s Quayside are exceptionally rare.
“The combination of an outstanding waterfront location, excellent connectivity and development flexibility make this plot one of the North East’s most significant land opportunities.”
