OneGym flexes growth with Wynyard opening
A North East fitness operator is expanding its regional footprint after investing £1.2 million in a new gym designed to serve one of the area’s fastest-growing communities.
OneGym is preparing to open a 16,000sq ft facility at Wynyard Business Park, marking its 15th location and fifth new opening in the past two years.
The new site has created 15 jobs and offers a wide range of facilities for everyone from first-time gym users to experienced athletes.
These include Panatta equipment, extensive free weights and resistance machines, dedicated functional and hybrid training zones, cardio equipment, a boxing area, spin and aerobics studios, and sauna facilities.
Members will benefit from 24/7 access, flexible membership options, no joining fee and the ability to use all 15 OneGym locations.
Memberships also include personalised workout plans, fitness and nutrition support, access to MyZone and body composition analysis.
Paul Pearson, director at OneGym, said: “We’re incredibly excited to open our doors in Wynyard and welcome both new and existing members.
"Our aim has always been simple – to provide premium fitness facilities, industry-leading equipment and expert support at a price that's affordable.
“Whether you’re taking your first steps into fitness, enjoy hybrid training or have been training for years, we've created a gym that has something for everyone, and we can't wait for people to experience it.”
Ahead of its official opening on Saturday, July 11, the gym will host two public open days, giving prospective members the chance to explore the new facilities:
- Monday, July 6 – 4pm to 7pm
- Wednesday July 8 – 11am to 2pm
Memberships are available ahead of the gym’s opening, here.
