Housebuilder backed to create 60-home scheme
A housebuilder has been backed to create a 60-home scheme.
Bargate has secured outline planning permission for a Hampshire estate.
The blueprint includes one to four-bed homes featuring solar panels, air source heat pumps and electric vehicle charging points.
The scheme – set for the village of Braishfield, on the outskirts of Romsey, near Southampton – is also set to include 24 affordable properties.
Fair Oak-headquartered Bargate is now set to submit a reserved matters application to Test Valley Borough Council detailing layout, appearance, landscaping and street scene and home designs ahead of breaking ground.
Laura Mills, Bargate senior planner, said: “We are pleased our application has been approved.
“This brings us a step closer to creating a quality, family-orientated development in Braishfield.
“We will continue to work alongside Test Valley’s officers, councillors and consultees while we prepare detailed plans.”
