Indoor golf attraction swings into market town
An East Yorkshire leisure destination is teeing up a new indoor golf attraction.
Professional golfer Sam Robinson and his wife Natalie are set to open FORE! at Flemingate in Beverley, transforming a two-storey unit into a year-round golf and entertainment destination.
The family-run venture will feature four state-of-the-art golf simulator bays, including a VIP suite for larger groups, parties and corporate events.
Visitors will be able to play virtually on more than 500 golf courses from around the world while using advanced technology to analyse and improve their game.
Alongside the simulators, FORE! will offer interactive games and challenges for all ages and abilities, making the venue accessible to both seasoned golfers and first-time players.
The upper floor will include a themed nine-hole crazy golf course, a bar and relaxed seating area, creating a social space for friends and families.
The venue will also host a limited programme of coaching sessions led by Sam, with additional ladies’ and junior coaching delivered by other professionals.
Sam said: “We’re really looking forward to opening our new venture at Flemingate.
“FORE! will bring something completely different to Beverley, giving people the chance to try something new and exciting, even if they’ve never picked up a club before.
“We want FORE! to be more than somewhere to play golf.
“We want it to become a real social hub for the community – a place where people can catch up with friends, enjoy a drink, and have fun.”
Owned by Hull-based Wykeland Group, Flemingate continues to broaden its mix of retail, leisure and hospitality attractions, with FORE! expected to add a fresh dimension to the Beverley destination when it opens later this year.
Jason Platten, Wykeland’s Head of Retail and Leisure, said: “FORE! complements Flemingate’s existing retail and leisure offer perfectly.
“As an innovative, independent venture, it will bring something new and distinctive to Beverley, attracting a broad range of visitors and adding another reason for people to spend time at Flemingate.”
