Investor boosts portfolio with aviation firm deal

A private investment firm has strengthened its portfolio with an acquisition.

Rcapital has bought Adams Aviation Supply Company.

Officials say the move – completed as part of a corporate carve-out from Incora – will “drive future growth” at the Crawley-headquartered aviation maintenance parts and accessories distributor.

Under the terms of the deal, Adams Aviation’s management team will continue to lead the business with support from London-based Rcapital.

Founded in 1968, Adams Aviation also operates a headset, helmet and emergency locator transmitter repair centre.

Sam Duberley, Rcapital investment director, said: “Adams Aviation is a business with a proud heritage and an excellent market position as Europe’s leading general aviation parts distributor.

“We are looking forward to supporting the wider team as they take the business into its next phase of growth.”

Mark Rogers, Adams Aviation’s general manager, added: “This is an exciting new chapter.

“With Rcapital’s backing and expertise in supporting businesses through complex transitions, we are confident in our ability to accelerate our growth plans, expand our capabilities and continue delivering the exceptional service our customers expect.”

Rcapital was advised on the deal by Pinsent Masons, Claritas and Seabury Capital.

Incora was supported by Baker McKenzie and KPMG Industrials M&A.
