Medical firm 'better placed than ever' with expansion
A orthotics product maker says it is entering its “most ambitious period of growth” after bolstering its market presence.
Peacocks Medical Group has opened a 4,000sq ft manufacturing base.
Bosses say the Sheffield site will meet growing NHS demand and boost clinical and technical operations by a third.
The move builds on the Newcastle-headquartered orthotics firm’s launch of its own brand product range and a number of exclusive UK distribution agreements with clinical product makers.
David Stevens, chief executive at the 123-year-old business, whose portfolio includes footwear, helmets and spinal braces, said: “This is a defining moment.
“Our growth over the past five years reflects the trust that NHS partners have placed in us, and this investment is our commitment to earning more of that.
“With Sheffield operational, our technology programme underway and a genuinely exciting product range coming to market, we are better placed than ever to deliver for patients.
“We enter this next phase as a stronger, faster and more capable organisation.”
