bk plus expands Welsh footprint with acquisition
A Midlands accountancy firm has strengthened its presence in Wales through the acquisition of a well-established practice.
Aldridge-headquartered bk plus has bought Cardiff and Barry-based Accounted For, expanding its regional network while retaining the firm’s local team and offices.
Led by Lee Eustace and Leanne Eustace, Accounted For will continue serving existing clients, with access to bk plus’ wider specialist expertise and national resources.
The deal builds on bk plus’ growing footprint across Wales, where it already operates several offices.
Nationally, the firm has more than 58 locations and over 900 employees supporting SMEs and owner-managed businesses.
Bosses said the deal for Accounted For reinforces its strategy of combining local relationships with the scale and capabilities of a larger national firm.
Shaun Knight, chief executive of bk plus, said: “Wales has been an important part of our story for some time, and this acquisition is a natural next step for us in a market we know well.
“What we’ve built across Wales already shows that our model works here.
“Clients want to deal with people who understand their local area, and that’s exactly what our offices deliver.
“Bringing Accounted For into the group adds real depth in South Wales.
“Cardiff and Barry are busy, commercially active areas, and having a team with Lee and Leanne’s experience and the client relationships they’ve established puts us in a strong position to support businesses across that part of the country.
“For clients of Accounted For, the message is simple.
“The faces you know are staying, and the service you’re used to isn’t going anywhere.
“What’s changing is the range of what we can offer you.”
Lee added: “Joining bk plus felt like the right move for our clients and our team.
“We’ve always prided ourselves on being a firm that people can rely on, and that approach isn’t changing.
“What bk plus offers is the opportunity to do more.
“Our clients have growing businesses with evolving needs, and being part of a national firm means we can now bring in specialist support on areas like tax planning, corporate finance or restructuring when the situation calls for it, without losing the close working relationship that’s always defined how we operate.
“Cardiff and Barry are great places to do business, and we’re excited about what this means for the businesses we work with across the area.”
