Community views sought on shopping centre
A Northumberland regeneration organisation is inviting the public to help shape plans for the future of a popular shopping centre.
Advance Northumberland will host two public consultation events at Manor Walks Shopping Centre in Cramlington, giving residents, businesses and visitors the opportunity to view initial proposals for the redevelopment of the centre’s western entrance.
The plans form part of a long-term vision to enhance the shopping centre, including a new mall entrance and a town square designed to host community events and activities.
The drop-in sessions will take place on 15 and 16 July at Northumbria House, in Manor Walks, where visitors can view the proposals, ask questions and share feedback to help shape the next stage of the redevelopment.
Steven Harrison, chief executive at Advance Northumberland, said: “These western entrance proposals represent an exciting opportunity to enhance the visitor experience, strengthen the retail offer and create new spaces that bring people together.
“We want to hear directly from residents, businesses and visitors so that their views help shape the future vision for Manor Walks Shopping Centre.
“I would encourage everyone with an interest in the centre to take the opportunity to share their feedback.”
Those unable to attend can view the proposals and complete a feedback questionnaire online at www.advancenorthumberland.co.uk and manorwalks.co.uk from 15 July, where they will remain available for two weeks.
