Recruitment firm adds to ranks with acquisition
A recruitment firm has bolstered operations with an acquisition.
Sellick Partnership has bought a majority shareholding in Gleeson Recruitment Group.
Officials say the move will create “a significant UK specialist recruitment platform… across executive search, interim management and professional recruitment.”
Under the terms of the deal, co-founders Jason Blakey, Tony Gleeson and Jason Granger will continue to lead Gleeson Recruitment Group alongside its existing management team, with its brand also remaining unchanged.
Operating across sectors including construction, engineering, local government, healthcare and financial services, Sellick Partnership’s office network includes bases in Manchester, Liverpool, London and Newcastle.
Founded in 2011, Birmingham-headquartered Gleeson Recruitment Group provides executive search, interim management, transformation and specialist recruitment support across sectors including accountancy and finance, HR, law, life sciences and technology.
Its office estate includes further bases in Castle Donington, London, Reading and Salisbury.
Hannah Cottam, chief executive at Sellick Partnership – which is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Samsic Group – said: “We have developed a great deal of mutual respect for the Gleeson team over the years.
“While each business will continue to operate under its own brand and leadership, we are excited about the opportunity to work alongside colleagues who share our entrepreneurial spirit, commitment to excellence and long-term approach to growth.”
Jason, Tony and Jason added: “With the support and ambition of Samsic and Sellick Partnership, we can continue to grow while retaining a personalised, transparent and sustainable approach to recruitment.”
Sellick Partnership’s office portfolio also includes sites in Birmingham, Derby and Leeds.
