TVCA launches finance jobs drive
A North East public sector organisation is seeking experienced finance professionals to help deliver billions of pounds of investment across the Tees Valley.
The Tees Valley Combined Authority (TVCA) is seeking to fill eight roles within its expanding finance team as it manages billions of pounds of funding supporting projects across the region.
The vacancies include head of financial management, head of financial accounting, financial accounting manager, senior finance business partner, two finance business partners and two financial accountants.
Successful candidates will help oversee investment in areas including business support, transport, infrastructure, education, skills, inward investment and net-zero, while also supporting the work of South Tees Development Corporation and the Hartlepool and Middlesbrough Mayoral Development Corporations.
The appointments come as the TVCA continues to deliver its long-term improvement plan and follows the recent recruitment of a new director of legal and governance, strengthening the organisation's leadership as it delivers major regeneration projects across Tees Valley.
Tees Valley mayor Ben Houchen said: “There’s never been a better time to get involved in all we’re doing across Teesside, Darlington and Hartlepool.
“We’ve just signed off a new ten-year Local Growth Plan – a strategy that will help supercharge our industries, grow businesses and improve the lives of hundreds of thousands of people.
“We’re also set to secure exciting new devolved powers, bringing even more funding and fiscal responsibilities to our area, and we need incredible talent to manage this critical change.
“Those elements combined mean that successful candidates will be at the forefront of a wholly new direction of travel for the combined authority and the region as a whole.”
Tom Bryant, TVCA’s chief executive, added: “We’re a great place to work, and only getting better as we drive real change throughout our organisation.
“The backbone of this will be a dynamic, proactive and knowledgeable finance team, ready to deliver brilliant work in a fast-paced and hugely varied environment.
“If you think you fit the bill, we’d love to hear from you.”
