Acting Office appoints strategy and enterprise chief
Accountancy software provider Acting Office, based in London, has appointed Wendy Rowe as chief strategy and enterprise officer as it looks to support its expansion plans.
Wendy joins the business with more than 25 years of experience in product management within the tax and accounting software sector, having spent her career at Wolters Kluwer across the UK and Europe.
In her new role, Wendy will lead Acting Office’s strategy for large enterprise customers, helping develop solutions tailored to firms’ service, risk and regulatory requirements while supporting scalable growth.
She said: “The market has been dominated by the same suppliers for so long, but Acting Office immediately stands out.
“It’s fresh, it’s forward-thinking and it delivers exactly what practices need today.
“It’s a solution, and a supplier, that can genuinely reshape our market.
“The conversation has shifted from functionality and productivity, with innovation now the main differentiator, with buyers looking more at how suppliers are using technologies like AI to elevate their offerings and aligning with a firm’s own AI strategy and future vision.”
Wendy’s appointment strengthens Acting Office’s leadership team as the company continues to develop its cloud-based platform for accountancy firms navigating increasing demand for automation, AI adoption and more integrated technology solutions.
Kenny MacAulay, chief executive of Acting Office, added: “The accounting industry is at a crossroads, especially when it comes to AI, and enterprise firms are navigating their rollout strategies to fuel their future growth.
“Wendy will play a vital role in supporting our customers in executing their AI vision, driving governance, auditability and operational simplicity in the AI era.
“AI lowers the floor of a poorly run firm, but for well-run firms, AI can greatly raise the ceiling on what can be achieved.”
