Greencore Homes appoint non-executive director
Sustainable housebuilder Greencore Homes has appointed Mike Woolliscroft as a non-executive director, strengthening its board as the business continues to deliver its long-term growth plans.
Mike brings more than 25 years’ experience in residential development and major infrastructure projects, having led large-scale partnerships and delivered award-winning schemes across the UK.
Most recently, he served as chief strategy officer at Vistry Group and interim chief executive at Countryside Partnerships, following a 12-year career with the business.
He also held earlier roles with The Berkeley Group.
Mike said: “Greencore isn’t like any other housebuilder – it’s pioneering in its approach to building sustainable homes.
“I very much look forward to building on this well-established SME housebuilder with the board and the senior management team to drive further growth for the business as they continue to expand their operations to build high quality, sustainable homes across the UK.”
His appointment follows the recent addition of Helen Moore as board chair and reflects Greencore Homes’ continued investment in its leadership team as it expands its development pipeline.
Helen added: “Mike is a welcome addition to the board of Greencore Homes, as he brings exactly the expertise across partnerships, residential development and strategic growth that will be invaluable in helping us, as we transition to the operational delivery phase for the organisation.”
Backed by the £5 billion M&G Catalyst Fund, Bicester-based Greencore Homes is delivering sustainable housing developments across the Oxford to Cambridge corridor and surrounding counties.
Jon Di-Stefano, chief executive of Greencore Homes, added: “Mike joins Greencore Homes at a particularly exciting stage in our growth journey, as we continue to scale our operations.
“As demand for genuinely sustainable housing continues to grow, we believe our Better than Net Zero approach has the potential to become far more mainstream and Mike’s insight will play an important role in supporting that ambition.”
