Hill Group strengthens affordable housing team
The Hill Group, headquartered in Waltham Abbey, in Essex, has appointed Claire Studdart as head of affordable housing, a newly created role that reflects the award-winning housebuilder’s continued growth and commitment to strengthening partnerships across the affordable housing sector.
Claire will lead the company’s affordable housing strategy, working closely with registered providers and public sector organisations to deliver homes through Section 106 agreements while building long-term strategic partnerships.
She joins from Cala Group, where she managed affordable housing transactions across multiple regions and supported the delivery of affordable homes on more than 80 developments.
Claire brings extensive knowledge of the registered provider landscape, alongside significant experience of working with local authorities, housing associations and internal development teams.
Earlier in her career, she held frontline housing roles within local authorities, supporting individuals and families facing homelessness.
Claire’s appointment comes as the affordable housing sector continues to navigate changing funding pressures and delivery priorities.
The Hill Group said the new role will strengthen its ability to respond to evolving market demands while supporting the delivery of high-quality affordable homes through collaborative partnerships with registered providers and public sector organisations.
Andy Hill OBE, founder and group chief executive of The Hill Group, added: “We are delighted to welcome Claire to the business in this important new role.
“Her depth of experience, strong industry relationships and clear understanding of both the challenges and opportunities within the affordable housing sector make her a fantastic addition to the team.
“As we continue to grow, strengthening our partnerships with housing associations is a key priority.
“Claire’s appointment reinforces our commitment to working collaboratively with our partners to deliver high-quality, much-needed affordable homes across the country.”
