IGE Consulting makes trio of technical promotions
Manchester-headquartered geotechnical and ground engineering consultancy IGE Consulting has promoted three members of its technical team as the firmcontinues to invest in its people and support future growth.
Angharad Jones has been promoted to associate director, while Alfie Leach becomes principal geotechnical engineer and James Harley has been promoted to senior geo-environmental engineer.
Angharad, who has been with IGE for more than eight years, brings over a decade of experience in geo-environmental engineering and specialises in supporting the safe and sustainable development of complex brownfield sites.
In her new role, she will take on greater responsibility for project leadership, client relationships and mentoring colleagues.
Alfie, who joined the business after completing a master’s degree in geology and earth science, will oversee more technically complex projects, while James, who joined as a graduate engineer in 2019, will lead the validation element of IGE's projects, drawing on his expertise in large-scale site investigations and gas protection verification.
The promotions reflect IGE Consulting’s continued investment in strengthening its technical expertise as it supports developers, housebuilders, local authorities and commercial clients on development and regeneration projects across the UK.
Andrew Edwards, director at IGE, which now employs 14 staff at its offices in central Manchester, said: “Since our launch in 2017, IGE has grown rapidly through our reputation for helping unlock complex barriers to land and supporting construction projects through to completion.
“That reputation is built on the expertise of our team and passion for the work they do.
“Angharad, Alfie and James have nearly 25 years’ combined experience with IGE – this deep knowledge of our sector and clients is vital to maintaining the highest possible standards as we continue to expand.
“Helping our team progress their careers with us is central to our ethos, as is providing opportunities to talented and passionate people to join us.
“We’re actively looking for further likeminded experts to join IGE and support our continued growth over the coming years.”
