Testing firm strengthens offer with 'excellent' move
A testing and compliance firm has expanded with a takeover.
Celnor Group has bought TelLab.
The company says the Ireland-based water testing and environmental and fuel analysis firm adds an “outstanding business with an impressive reputation for scientific excellence” to its portfolio.
It adds TelLab has joined Celnor Group’s analytical sciences division, “significantly strengthening the group’s environmental testing, laboratory analysis and innovation capabilities across Ireland and the wider UK and European markets”.
Founded in 1991, Tullow-headquartered TelLab supports utilities and transport operators, environmental regulators, local authorities and multinational life science and technology businesses.
It also makes laboratory chemicals, reagents and standards for analytical, quality assurance, quality control and research applications.
Simon Parrington, founder and chief executive of London-headquartered Celnor Group, said: “TelLab’s highly-accredited laboratory capabilities, strong technical team and longstanding customer relationships make it an excellent addition.
“We look forward to supporting the business as it continues to expand.”
Mark Bowkett, TelLab managing director, added: “Joining Celnor Group marks an exciting new chapter.
“For more than 30 years, we have built a reputation for accuracy and reliability across water analysis, oil condition monitoring and custom chemical production.
“Partnering with Celnor Group allows us to accelerate our investment in new laboratory technologies, expand our service capabilities and offer clients an even broader range of compliance and analytical solutions.”
