Caddick lands £25 million warehouse deal

An industrial development in Greater Manchester has progressed after a contractor was appointed to deliver two new warehouse units.

Caddick Construction has secured a £25 million contract from Royal London Asset Management Property to build two industrial units at Satellite Park in Middleton.

The 14-acre scheme on Greengate will provide modern industrial accommodation targeting a BREEAM Outstanding sustainability rating, alongside extensive external works.

The project also includes more than 300 car parking spaces, with electric vehicle charging points installed throughout the site.

Construction is due to complete in summer 2027.

Dave Saville, regional managing director of Caddick Construction North West, said: “We’re pleased to be appointed to deliver this important project in Middleton.

“Industrial and logistics remains one of the UK’s most active sectors, and this project will create high-quality units and contemporary workspaces for growing businesses.

“Our team has significant experience delivering industrial developments across the region and we look forward to working collaboratively with Royal London Asset Management and the wider project team to bring these new facilities forward.”

Quintus Carr, development manager at Royal London Asset Management, added: “The scheme reflects our ongoing commitment to delivering high-quality, sustainability-focused industrial and logistics space in strong regional locations.

“We are pleased to be working with Caddick Construction, and we look forward to working closely with them and the wider project team to bring forward a scheme that supports local economic growth and meets the needs of modern occupiers.”

The appointment strengthens Caddick Construction's industrial and logistics portfolio across the North West.

Current projects include Tawd Valley Developments’ Junction 4 scheme at White Moss Business Park, where 45 business units are under construction, and the next phase of Farington Park in Leyland, which will deliver four industrial units totalling 96,000sq ft.
