Home care provider grows after CQC success
A North East home care provider has reported double-digit revenue growth while extending its long-standing ‘Good’ rating from the Care Quality Commission (CQC).
North Haven CS, which provides personal care, dementia support and hospital-to-home services across Sunderland and South Tyneside, recorded a 15 per cebt increase in revenue over the past year.
North Haven has also maintained its CQC ‘Good’ rating for a seventh consecutive year.
Officials attribute the growth to continued investment in staff training, development and retention, with employees encouraged to progress into specialist and management roles through ongoing professional development.
Chris Bond, managing director of North Haven CS, said: “While the CQC rating is important to us, what it symbolises is much more important, i.e., it confirms we are operating in accordance with best practices.”
“As we grow into South Tyneside and serve additional clients, the challenge will be to ensure that quality grows with us.
“To do so will require continuous investments in the team, continuous support for employee development, and continuous establishment as an employer of choice for individuals seeking long-term employment.”
The wider performance comes at a time when workforce retention remains a significant challenge across the adult social care sector.
According to Skills for Care, staff turnover in England’s adult social care workforce stood at around 28 per cent during 2024-25.
