Wildfire strengthens leadership team
Sheffield-based corporate events agency Wildfire has strengthened its leadership team with the appointment of head of sales and business development Ian Brown.
Ian brings more than 15 years’ experience in the meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions (MICE) sector and will lead the agency’s sales team, driving revenue growth and shaping its sales strategy.
His appointment follows the recent promotion of Nathan Angus to chief executive and further strengthens Wildfire’s senior leadership team as the business continues its growth.
Ian will take a hands-on approach to the role, combining strategic leadership with active involvement in sales to support colleagues and expand the agency's client base.
Ian said: “Wildfire is a fantastic agency, with decades of success bolstering their reputation, and to be part of the next chapter in the business’ journey is super exciting.
“The vision and ambition which Nathan has set out is what attracted me to Wildfire.
“There is a clear direction, and so it is a fantastic opportunity and time to join.
“As well as that, there is real energy and buzz within the company, which I love.
“I can’t wait to build on our current success and lead the team to more success.”
Wildfire delivers a wide range of corporate event experiences and is home to one of Europe's largest collections of party props and event equipment.
Ian’s appointment reflects the company’s continued investment in its leadership team as it looks to accelerate growth and build on its position in the corporate events sector.
Nathan Angus, chief executive, added: “Strengthening our senior team felt like the natural next step towards our goals, and we are confident Ian’s experience will hugely benefit the team.
“He has already made a high impact, and we look forward to seeing his contributions in the future as we continue to grow not only as a business but also as a team.”
