Project Worldwide bolsters global leadership team
Independent marketing alliance Project Worldwide has strengthened its global leadership team with a series of senior appointments as it prepares for its next phase of growth.
Edward Scott has been promoted to president, succeeding Matt Statman, who takes on the newly created role of global chief creative officer, while continuing as chief executive of Motive.
Edward said: “Project Worldwide’s strength is rooted in the distinct entrepreneurial spirit, expertise and independence of our 13 alliance agencies.
“Stepping into this new capacity is an incredible opportunity to globally scale our offerings by removing friction, accelerating collaboration, and delivering seamless, integrated value for our clients without diluting the unique agency cultures that define us.”
Matt added: “Returning to my creative roots at Motive while stepping into this expanded role for the network allows me to focus exactly where I can create the greatest value for our agencies and clients.
“Our agency creative leaders will continue to completely own their unique work and client relationships.
“My goal as global chief creative officer isn’t to centralise creativity from the top down, but to amplify it, unlocking a higher level of network-wide collaboration, inspiring big ambitions, and protecting the entrepreneurial spirit that sets Project apart.”
Meanwhile, John Higgins has also been appointed hybrid chief growth officer, leading collaboration across the group’s agencies to support integrated client growth.
The leadership changes are designed to strengthen operational delivery, encourage greater creative collaboration and enhance Project Worldwide’s integrated brand offering across its international network.
Supporting the appointments, Marcelle Hampton has transitioned to full-time chief of staff to the chief executive, while Ben Taylor has been appointed managing director for the Asia-Pacific region alongside his existing responsibilities as regional chief executive.
Headquartered in Michigan, Project Worldwide operates 45 offices globally, including locations in London, Amsterdam, Beijing, Auckland and Chicago.
The latest appointments form part of the group’s wider strategy to align its leadership structure with evolving client and market demands.
