Saffery expands Scottish tax teams
Accountancy and business advisory firm Saffery has appointed four senior tax specialists across its Edinburgh and Inverness offices.
The new appointments strengthen the firm’s corporate and personal tax expertise, with Emma Siegel joining as corporate tax director; Susan Pattison as corporate tax senior manager; and Patricia Bell as tax senior manager in Edinburgh, while Lois Tack joins the Inverness office as corporate tax senior manager.
Emma joins from Forvis Mazars, Susan from Henderson Loggie, Patricia from Ashurst LLP, and Lois from Azets.
Together, they bring expertise spanning corporate tax, professional partnerships, charities, research and development tax relief, succession planning and high-net-worth tax advice.
The appointments reinforce Saffery’s commitment to growing its Scottish tax practice, enhancing support for businesses, entrepreneurs, charities and private clients across the region as demand for specialist tax advice continues to grow.
Sean McGinness, head of Saffery’s Edinburgh office and national tax partner, said: “Businesses and partnerships across Scotland are navigating one of the most complex tax environments in recent years.
“From evolving corporate tax legislation and reliefs to increasing compliance requirements and greater scrutiny from HMRC, organisations need clear, practical advice to help them respond with confidence.
“Emma, Susan, Patricia and Lois each bring highly valuable expertise that strengthens our ability to support clients through this changing landscape.
“Their appointments enhance the breadth and depth of our tax offering, which now includes 33 specialists across corporate tax, VAT, tax technology, partnerships and employment tax.”
