Dr Bijaya Laxmi Gurung, who has been appointed by The Treatment Rooms London as a surgeon

The Treatment Rooms expands clinical team

London-based hair transplant clinic The Treatment Rooms London has appointed Dr Bijaya Laxmi Gurung as a surgeon.

Dr Gurung joins the surgeon-led clinic with more than five years’ surgical experience and will support patients throughout their treatment journey, from initial consultation through to surgery and post-operative care.

She previously managed complex surgical emergencies and elective procedures before completing a master's degree in general surgery.

A member of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and an affiliate member of the British Association of Hair Restoration Surgery, Dr Gurung joins co-founders Dr Roshan Vara and Dr Dilan Fernando as the clinic continues to expand its specialist team.

Dr Gurung said: “Having worked across complex surgeries, I was incredibly excited to step into this new role.

“Hair transplantation is a great way to combine science with artistic direction.

“Designing hairlines, density and direction are all key components to the procedure, and I’ve loved this next step in my career so far.”

Dr Gurung’s appointment follows a period of growth for The Treatment Rooms London, with the Putney-based clinic reporting a significant increase in enquiries as it continues to invest in its surgeon-led approach to hair restoration.

Dr Vara added: “We wanted a talented surgeon to join our team, and Dr Gurung ticked every box.

“She’s a true testament to our values of holistic, patient-centred care, and it’s been wonderful to see her flourish in her new role.

“She’s soothing and reassuring, and we’ve seen firsthand the knock-on effect this has with her patients.

“On surgery day, she’s a prime asset in calming the nerves and helping every patient have the most comfortable experience possible.”
