Fuse sparks fresh growth with new partnership

Reputation, reliability and the potential to scale at pace sits behind a bold new partnership promising to take full circle property services to the next level.

Fast-growing North East-based data connectivity firm Fuse is taking a stake in sector-leading data and fibre cabling, supply and installation specialist NE IT Solutions (NEIT).

Together the two ambitious businesses are in a position to offer a broader set of service lines and tackle a greater share of the UK market.

As part of the deal, Fuse Managing Director Jamie Mableson is making a significant investment in NEIT and will join the board alongside directors Anne Wilson and Eddie Scott.

“We started working together on projects at the beginning of this year and what impressed me was NEIT’s consistency,” explains Jamie.

“Their client retention, their attitude, their reputation and their reliability is just as advertised.

“That doesn't happen by accident. It's built over years of repeated delivery.

“The team has been dependable project after project, both on technical delivery and on the things that are easy to overlook: planning, scheduling, and doing what they said they'd do, when they said they'd do it. That's something we value highly at Fuse.

“As part of the deal, I'm joining the board. The investment will help NEIT scale and I'll be putting time into sales strategy and operational systems alongside the existing team.

“When you’re handing a partner a growing share of your delivery work, at some point it makes sense to back that relationship properly rather than just keep buying from them.

“For clients, there's no disruption with NEIT continuing to operate as an independently managed company. What they'll see is more resource behind the business and, over time, a broader set of service offerings."

Earlier this year Newcastle-based Fuse rebranded with a fresh focus on connecting, managing and protecting properties for landlords and their tenants across the UK.

The forward-thinking firm has forged a strong reputation for delivering fast and reliable connectivity, managed services and the behind-the-scenes infrastructure that keeps commercial buildings running.

As a trusted service provider NEIT represents an ideal partner and both Anne and Eddie can see the benefits to both businesses after a game-changing deal was rubber-stamped earlier this month.

“Working together we can offer customers a much wider service and Fuse can do the same,” explains Eddie.

“I think Jamie appreciated the fact that we can point to a strong track record in customer retention and our references speak for themselves.

“We’re two like-minded businesses with a strong commitment to the North East and an ambition to broaden our reach nationally and internationally.

“Our client base extends far beyond this region but a priority for NEIT is taking on local apprentices and investing in the region’s workforce.

“This partnership will help us achieve both.”

North Tyneside-based NEIT’s client base includes Hitachi, Hepple Engineering Services and Nathaniel Litchfields and the link-up with Fuse looks set to bring more blue-chip clients through the door in the future.

“Jamie, Eddie and I are like-minded people who understand the value of clear communication and trusted relationships,” adds Anne.

“When we first met to discuss a possible partnership it was clear that we all got on and that we share the same vision.

“Customers keep coming back to NEIT because they know we do a good job, they know the service will be consistent and, most importantly, they know that they can pick up the phone and talk things through at any time.

“People like people. And that’s something we all agreed on from day one.”
