Survey X breaks new ground with growth plans
A ground survey firm has launched with plans to expand across the UK.
Survey X (UK), based at Wakefield 41 Business Park, has been established to provide subsurface survey and inspection services to the civil and geoenvironmental engineering, construction, estates management and planning sectors.
Led by project manager Joe Walshaw, the company aims to build a nationwide presence over the next two years and has already secured work in Kent.
The business offers a range of surveying services designed to map, inspect and assess underground infrastructure, including topographical surveys, ground penetrating radar, utility surveys and CCTV inspections.
Survey X also provides 3D laser scanning and building surveys.
Its services are used by architects, engineers, property developers, facilities managers and estate owners.
Joe, who brings more than 30 years' experience in the survey and ground engineering sector, says the company can collect and process data more quickly and accurately, helping clients shorten inspection times, streamline project planning and reduce design-to-build costs.
He said: “This is more than just a new company; it’s a highly experienced operation already delivering.
“With today’s artificial intelligence and internet-powered technologies, we see a huge opportunity to transform ground exploration and survey work – making it easier, faster and more precise than ever before.”
