Tech firm targets growth after £700,000 boost
A tech firm has revealed plans to “enter the next phase of its journey” after securing a £700,000 funding boost.
PolyBox says it is primed to bolster its marketing platform with artificial intelligence.
Bosses say the move will strengthen the Newcastle-based operator’s ambitions to “become the industry go-to for marketers”.
The blueprint comes after the firm received £150,000 from investment house Northstar Ventures via the North East Innovation Fund with support from the North East Mayoral Strategic Authority.
It secured an additional £250,000 from angel investors and £300,000 Innovate UK grant funding.
Officials say the cash will boost development of PolyBox’s real-time marketing platform to “automate reporting and generate critical insights for customers, which will save time, reduce costs and improve the quality and speed of decision making”.
Rojin Yarahmadi, PolyBox co-founder and chief executive, said: “We’re incredibly grateful to our angel investors and Northstar Ventures for their continued belief in our vision.
“Their investment has enabled us to accelerate our roadmap.
“Our next phase will focus on delivering even more advanced analytics and artificial intelligence-powered insights.”
Tom O’Neill, investment manager at Newcastle-based Northstar Ventures, which first invested in PolyBox in 2024, added: “This will help Rojin and the team to significantly grow the business.
“As artificial intelligence continues to significantly disrupt the marketing industry, PolyBox’s automated reporting solution saves time and money for busy marketing teams, while supporting clear decision making.”
