Plans lodged for 40-home Honeybourne scheme

Plans have been submitted for a 40-home development in a Worcestershire village on the edge of the Cotswolds.

Cameron Homes has lodged a Reserved Matters application with Wychavon District Council for a two-hectare site in Honeybourne, following the granting of outline planning permission in 2025.

Designed by White Ridge Architecture, the proposed development would provide a mix of one to five-bedroom houses and bungalows, with 16 of the 40 homes allocated as affordable housing across a range of tenures.

The site, accessed from Stratford Road, is within walking distance of Honeybourne village centre and its railway station, which provides direct services to Worcester, Evesham and London Paddington.

The housebuilder’s plans include traditionally styled homes featuring brick and render designed to complement the surrounding area.

Existing hedgerows around most of the site would be retained, while new public open space, ecological improvements and wildlife habitats would also be created.

Two attenuation ponds are included within the proposals to help increase biodiversity.

The homes are also expected to achieve high energy efficiency standards, with features including solar photovoltaic panels, electric vehicle charging points and smart heating controls.

Established in 1994, Cameron Homes is headquartered in Staffordshire and is currently delivering more than 200 homes across 11 developments, with a future pipeline expected to provide around 1000 new homes.
