HB&O announces eight promotions

Midlands accountancy firm HB&O has promoted eight members of staff across its Birmingham, Coventry and Leamington offices.

The promotions include Sophie Butteriss, who has become an accounts senior after qualifying as a chartered accountant, and Khari George, who has been promoted to virtual finance office (VFO) senior.

Meanwhile, Puja Jain has advanced to top tier client manager, while Emma Potter has become a second tier client manager in the VFO.

The firm has also promoted Sophie French and William Whiting to semi-senior roles, while Benjamin Usher-Shipway and Sonia Fard have progressed to technician positions within the VFO.

HB&O said the promotions reflect its continued investment in developing talent and supporting career progression across the business.

The firm added that many members of its senior leadership team began their careers as apprentices before progressing through the organisation.

Mark Ashfield, managing director at HB&O, said: “The continued growth of our business is only possible because of the talented people we have across all of our teams.

“Their expertise, commitment and willingness to go the extra mile for clients is what sets HB&O apart.

“As we continue to expand across Coventry, Warwickshire, Birmingham and the wider West Midlands, investing in our people and supporting their development remains a key priority.

“These promotions reflect not only individual achievements, but also the strength and depth of talent we are building throughout the firm.

“Each of these colleagues has made a significant contribution to the business and consistently demonstrated the values that are important to us.

“It is fantastic to see them progressing in their careers, and we look forward to supporting them as they take on new responsibilities and continue delivering excellent outcomes for our clients.”

Mark added: “One of the things we are most proud of at HB&O is seeing colleagues develop their careers with us.

“These promotions reflect the dedication, talent and hard work of the individuals involved, and we are delighted to support them as they take the next steps in their professional journey.”
