Property tech firm's job push after 'successful' year

A property sector technology firm says it is putting down further roots for growth through job creation after “another successful year”.

Iamproperty is hiring 40 staff and plans “further recruitment during the year”.

The workforce expansion comes after the Newcastle-headquartered company saw annual revenues rise 20 per cent to £61.2 million in the year to October 31.

Adjusted earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation at the business – whose services include an online property auction arm – were more than 14 per cent better off at £17.2 million.

And bosses Ben Ridgway and Jamie Cooke say the 2009-founded business is primed to maintain its momentum through its auction service that helped estate agents sell properties worth £2.1 billion in the last year.

They add the 750-strong staff firm – which works with more than 7000 estate agency branches across the UK – is benefiting from a Yopa auction partnership and a London expansion that includes an alliance with sales and lettings operator Kinleigh Folkard & Hayward.

Co-founder Ben said: “It’s been another successful year of consistent growth as more estate agents choose our technology and service.

“We’ve invested heavily in our teams and technology and will continue as we deliver on our vision.

Fellow co-founder Jamie added: “Auction is where it all started, and it is still a huge part of what we do.

“Our partner agents are selling more properties every year, boosting revenues and achieving fast and secure sales for clients.

“We are driven to give even more consumer options when it comes to buying and selling property, and our expansion across London is key to this.

“The capital is full of opportunities and we’re the best-placed provider to help agents maximise them.”

The business, which earlier this year bought The ValPal Network, is backed by private equity investor Perwyn.

Gurinder Sunner, Perwyn partner, added: “The company's sustained growth reinforces our confidence in its long-term opportunity, and we are excited to support the next phase of development.”
