Nutral Solutions 'set for growth' after owner move

A workforce management and compliance business has undergone an ownership shift.

Nutral Solutions' founders Alex Gosney and Ben Wardleworth have secured full control following an investor exit.

The duo say the move will allow the Leeds-headquartered firm to “build on recent contract wins and accelerate its next phase of growth”.

The deal follows the departure of Human Capital Investment Group.

Founded in 2021, Nutral Solutions works with contractors and major infrastructure projects to provide managed service provision, vendor management, contractor payroll, compliance and workforce consultancy support.

Its ownership deal – funded by NEL Fund Managers – was supported by RG Corporate Finance, which has offices in Newcastle and York and worked alongside staff from its wider advisory business.

Alex, Nutral Solutions’ chief executive, said: “Securing full ownership comes at an exciting time.

“We’re seeing growing demand from contractors who want confidence that every aspect of workforce management and compliance is being managed to the highest possible standard.

“This transaction gives us the platform to continue investing in our services, strengthening our client relationships and building on the momentum we’ve created.”

Shareholders were advised by Benjamin Kain, corporate finance manager at RG Corporate Finance, and corporate finance senior manager Sam Shield, supported by partner and head of corporate finance Carl Swansbury.

The wider advisory team included partner Dan Cooper and outsourced advisory manager Rachael Best, alongside tax partner Simon Whiteside and tax assistant Taylor Glover.

Legal advice was provided by John Flanagan and Aidan Johnson, of Yorkshire and Humber-based law firm Wilkin Chapman Rollits.

NEL Fund Managers was advised by Peter Robinson, of Newcastle-based law firm Hay & Kilner, with financial due diligence carried out by Danny Malone and Stephen Twaddle, of Newcastle-based accountancy and advisory firm UNW.

Benjamin added: “This was a fantastic transaction to be involved in and demonstrates the value of long-term relationships.

“Working alongside specialists from across the RG Corporate Finance business meant we were able to provide seamless support throughout the process.”
