Developer advances trio of Yorkshire schemes

An affordable housing developer has strengthened its Yorkshire pipeline after moving forward with three new housing developments.

Breck Homes is now live on three developments in Bradford, which will provide a combined 107 affordable homes in partnership with Yorkshire housing provider Incommunities.

Construction began in April on a 53-home scheme at Rushton Avenue.

The Preston-headquartered developer has also exchanged contracts on a 20-home development at Flockton Road and a further 34-home scheme at nearby Brompton Avenue, following planning approval from Bradford Council.

The Flockton Road and Brompton Avenue developments are expected to be completed by December 2027 and will provide a mix of two, three and four-bedroom homes, alongside one-bedroom maisonettes and apartments.

The properties will be available for social and affordable rent.

Shipley-based Incommunities manages more than 22,000 homes across West Yorkshire, primarily in the Bradford district.

Breck is also awaiting planning permission for a 120-home affordable housing development at Dawson’s Corner in Leeds, which would become its fourth affordable housing scheme in Yorkshire.

The proposed project would transform a former Lloyds Bank data centre into a new residential development on brownfield land.

Founded in Lancashire in 2020, Breck has completed more than 1000 affordable homes and has a further 2200 properties in its development pipeline.

The firm also opened a Leeds office last year as part of its continued expansion across Yorkshire.
