Health and safety firm builds with Castle deal

An environmental and health and safety training firm has built its client book with a construction sector deal.

Carney Consultancy is working with Castle.

Bosses say the company is operating as Castle’s health and safety consultant across sites in northern England and Scotland.

Castle, which has offices in South Tyneside and Edinburgh, is working on several projects across the UK, which include its role as principal contractor on the new South Tyneside College and South Shields Marine School, to which Carney Consultancy is providing health and safety support.

Martin Crammond, director at North Shields-based Carney Consultancy, which operates across sectors including construction and engineering, said: “As Castle has grown rapidly across the north of England and Scotland, so has our service offering.

“We work with the firm for ten days a month, acting as its dedicated health and safety consultants.

“Castle gains access to the varying skillsets of our team, utilising us to undertake ISO and internal audits, continual professional development, health, safety and environmental management support and guidance on best practices and compliance.”

Naomi Halliburton, Castle compliance director, added: “It is important to have a fresh pair of eyes to keep us abreast of changes to policies and procedures, review management systems and be on hand to offer compliance guidance.
