Yorkshire artisan market heads to Teesside

A popular Yorkshire artisan market is set to expand into the North East with the launch of its first event at Teesside Park.

Little Bird Artisan Market will make its Tees Valley debut this Friday (August 7), bringing together 30 independent makers, artists and food producers for a one-day event running from 10am to 4pm.

Visitors will be able to browse a range of handmade gifts, home fragrance products, artwork, artisan food and sweet treats from traders across Yorkshire and the North East.

Exhibitors include North East spirits producer Racing Distillery, South Yorkshire home fragrance brand KURROC and West Yorkshire artist Fine Art by Shaun, alongside traders including Blondie Bakery, York Cocktail Co., North Country Pies & Cheeses, Bobibee, Village Cakery, Amber & Olive, Swaad and Rose and Bramley.

After its first visit, the market will return to Teesside Park on selected dates throughout the year, with additional events planned in September, October and December.

Jackie Crozier, founder and director of Little Bird Artisan Market, said: “Bringing Little Bird to Teesside Park marks an exciting new chapter for us and for the brilliant independent businesses we work with.

“We’ve brought together a varied line-up of traders from across Yorkshire and the North East, so visitors can expect plenty to browse, taste and take home. 

“We’re looking forward to becoming a regular part of the Teesside Park calendar and introducing Little Bird to a whole new community.”

The launch forms part of Teesside Park’s wider programme of summer activities, which also includes outdoor attractions such as mini golf and bungee trampolines, alongside a selection of street food vendors.

Visitors can also take advantage of free parking, while the retail destination is served by Stagecoach and Arriva bus routes connecting Teesside Park with locations including Hartlepool, Stockton, Middlesbrough, Billingham and Norton.
