Besseges appoints business development head
Manchester-based fire sprinkler and facilities management group Besseges has appointed James Kay as group head of business development.
James joins the business in a newly created role with responsibility for leading the group’s organic growth strategy across both Besseges Fire and Besseges FM.
He will focus on building the group's business development and marketing capability while supporting growth across its expanding client base.
Besseges Fire brings more than 50 years of industry experience, while Besseges FM has grown rapidly since launching three years ago, creating a complementary offering across fire protection and facilities management.
James said: “Recent consolidation across both the facilities management and fire and security sectors has created a distinct opening for independent, energetic, and nimble service partners like Besseges.
“The company's best-in-class service ethos, family-like culture, and ambitious growth plans are exactly what attracted me to the business.
“I am thrilled to join a team with such a strong foundation and cannot wait to get started and contribute to our future successes.”
James’ appointment reflects Besseges' continued investment in its commercial leadership, strengthening the group’s growth strategy as it builds on the heritage of its fire division and the rapid expansion of its facilities management business.
Andy Prendergast, chief operating officer at Besseges, added: “We are absolutely delighted to welcome James to our leadership team.
“His deep understanding of the industry landscape and his drive for sustainable growth make him the perfect fit for Besseges.
“As we look to build on our 50-year heritage and our recent rapid expansion, James will play a crucial role in taking our business to the next level.”
