Deeley Group appoints non-executive director

Midlands-based construction and property development firm Deeley Group has appointed Richard Williams as a non-executive director.

Richard brings more than 20 years’ experience in senior leadership and board-level roles, with extensive expertise across the later living, healthcare and property sectors.

His career includes senior positions at Brigid Investments, McCarthy Stone and Aldi, while he currently serves on the boards of Riverside and Community Health Partnerships.

In his new role, Richard will support Deeley Group’s growth strategy, helping strengthen the firm's position in the later living and healthcare sectors.

He said: “This is clearly a very successful business with a strong culture and that was something that really attracted me to the role.

“Much of my career has been spent in the sectors at the heart of Deeley’s ambitions, so there is a natural fit between my experience and the direction of the business.

“I hope I can bring added value by offering an independent perspective, sharing my experience and providing advice that supports the business as it continues to grow.

“There is a huge opportunity for Deeley Group to become one of the most successful construction and development companies supporting retirement living, senior living and healthcare.”

Richard’s appointment reflects Deeley Group’s continued investment in its leadership team, strengthening the business as it expands its later living and healthcare development portfolio across the Midlands.

Eleanor Deeley, joint managing director of Deeley Group, added: “We have seen strong growth over the last three years, and Richard will help to further strengthen our presence in the care and later living sector.

“He brings a wealth of experience and insight to our business, together with an independent perspective that will support the board as we make key decisions about the next stage in our development.”
