Morro appoints group partnerships director
Midlands partnerships developer Morro Partnerships has appointed Chris Miller as group partnerships director.
Chris brings more than 30 years’ experience in affordable housing and residential development, joining from housing association Midland Heart where he served as director of development.
He brings extensive client-side expertise and long-established relationships across the housing sector.
In his new role, Chris will lead the development of partnerships with registered providers, local authorities and investors, while supporting the delivery of new housing schemes and helping partners respond to evolving regulatory requirements.
Chris said: “Having worked alongside Morro as a Midland Heart partner for many years, I’ve always admired the culture, ethos and quality of the business.
“Moving to the developer side is an exciting change of scenery that allows me to use my background to bring real insight to our partnership work.
“The Midlands offers fantastic opportunities for growth, supported by major infrastructure projects and new funding streams for affordable housing.
“My focus will be on promoting Morro’s innovations – such as modern methods of construction and sustainable house types – while helping our partners meet their wider commitments, well beyond bricks and mortar.
“I am very excited for what’s to come.”
Chris’ appointment reflects Morro Partnerships’ continued investment in its leadership team, strengthening the business as it expands its partnerships across the affordable housing sector.
Matt Moore, chief executive at Morro Partnerships, added: “Chris is a hugely respected figure across the housing sector and having him join the Morro team is a brilliant step forward for our business.
“His deep understanding of what housing associations face on a day-to-day basis – from compliance to resident satisfaction – will be invaluable as we continue to refine our offering and deliver exceptional value to our partners.”
