FLANNELS serves up new Metrocentre offering

A luxury retailer has expanded its hospitality offering with the launch of a new health and wellness concept at Metrocentre.

FLANNELS, which was founded in the North of England in 1976, has strengthened its partnership with premium fitness and wellness brand HiiCLUB by opening a HiiGRIND space at its Gateshead store.

Launched on August 8, the concept combines speciality coffee with an all-day nutritional menu, providing customers with a social space to meet before or after shopping.

Bosses say the opening supports FLANNELS’ ambition to develop destination stores that go beyond traditional retail by bringing together fashion, wellness, hospitality and community.

A FLANNELS spokesperson said: “The opening of HiiGRIND at FLANNELS Metrocentre reflects our continued commitment to creating engaging shopping experiences, and signifies the strength of our partnership with HiiCLUB. 

“By combining luxury retail with premium hospitality, we're creating destinations where people can shop, socialise and recharge, all under one roof.”

The Metrocentre launch marks the latest stage of the retailer’s growing partnership with HiiCLUB, which has already introduced HiiGRIND concepts at FLANNELS stores across the UK.

Existing locations include Meadowhall, Leeds, Leicester Fosse Park and Liverpool.
