Print firm backs martial arts team to make mark

A family-run print firm has thrown its weight behind a martial arts team.

Zebra Print Group is sponsoring Team ACMAC.

The move comes as seven of the Doncaster club’s competitors prepare to take part in World Championships in Spain.

Under the terms of the deal, Leeds-based Zebra Print Group’s branding will feature on Team ACMAC’s clothing and flag, which accompanies competitors to the podium, across the club’s social media channels and its nine martial arts schools.

The team heads to Spain following an impressive performance at last year’s World Championships in the US, where competitors returned home with a haul of 27 awards, including nine gold medals.

This year’s seven-strong squad includes Hayden Lindley, Hayley Lindley, Brandon Lindley, Tobi Atkin, Ant Reed, Lucy Crittenden and Darcy Criddle.

Samantha Overton, Zebra Print Group managing director, said: “What the team achieved last year was phenomenal, and it’s fantastic to see competitors from our region performing at such a high level on an international stage.

“We know that competing at this level comes with a significant financial commitment, particularly in a self-funded sport, so we’re really pleased to be able to play a small part in helping the team get to Spain.”

Andy Crittenden, ACMAC team manager and head coach, added: “Support from businesses like Zebra Print Group makes such a difference to our competitors and their families.

“We’re extremely grateful to Samantha and the Zebra Print Group team for getting behind us, and we’ll be doing everything we can to bring more medals back to Yorkshire.”
