Insurance broker nets Celtic FC Women deal

A Glasgow-founded insurance broker has signed a multi-year deal to become the front-of-shirt sponsor of Celtic FC Women.

Octo Insurance Brokers will feature on the team’s shirts from the 2026/27 season, which begins against Glasgow City this Sunday (August 16).

Bosses say the agreement represents the biggest jersey sponsorship in Celtic FC Women’s history and comes as the club continues investing in the long-term development of women’s football.

Octo’s branding will appear in gold, matching detailing across Celtic kits this season commemorating the 60th anniversary of the Lisbon Lions’ European Cup-winning 1966/67 campaign.

The partnership follows the opening of Celtic’s redeveloped Barrowfield Training Centre in Glasgow’s East End last September.

The dedicated base for the women’s team and academies features indoor and outdoor pitches alongside gym, medical, sports science, analysis and learning facilities.

Domenico Davis, director at Octo Insurance Brokers, which specialises in corporate insurance, private client services, building warranties and surety bonds, said: “We’re incredibly proud to stand behind Celtic FC Women as front-of-shirt sponsor and partner.

“At our core, Octo is built on relationships, and this partnership is a natural extension of that, supporting people, communities and the next generation of talent within women’s football, a section of sport that has real momentum.

“Celtic FC Women has consistently helped lead the way in Scotland, from becoming the first club in the country to professionalise women’s football to the opening of the new Barrowfield Training Centre, which gives the players and academies first-class facilities and a dedicated base to work from together.

“That level of ambition deserves support.

“Women’s football is continuing to grow, but growth only happens when clubs and partners commit to it over the long term.

“This is what this partnership represents for us.

“We’re excited to play a part in the next chapter of Celtic FC Women as the new season begins.”

Grant Scott, Celtic FC Women head coach, added: “We’re delighted to have Octo Insurance Brokers on board as a long-term front-of-shirt sponsor.

“It's a real statement of intent in terms of where we want to go as a club in women’s football, having Domenico and his team on board is another step in the right direction.

“For us at Celtic it's more than an investment, it’s about the partnership and the opportunities Octo will bring to grow the visibility of the women’s game.

“Having someone who shares our ambition and understands the value of building real relationships and engaging local communities makes a genuine difference, both on the pitch and in the work we’re doing to develop the game here in Scotland.”

Kevin McQuillan head of commercial operations at Celtic FC Women, which was the first Scottish club to professionalise its women’s football operation, added: “When we first met with Domenico, it was clear that he has great ambitions for the business which shares many of the values that Celtic Football Club fosters.

“We quickly established a number of synergies and in particular, the desire to grow a community for Octo Insurance Brokers from their base in Glasgow married with our aspirations to generate a growing community supporting Celtic FC Women.

“Both objectives will require hard work and perseverance, but it is a measure of the belief Octo Insurance Brokers have in our vision for women’s football that they have committed their long-term support to Celtic FC Women.

“This is a partnership in the truest sense born of a desire to support each other and I’m excited by the possibilities as we embark on a new era for our women’s team.”
