IP specialist invests in new Sheffield base

An intellectual property firm has moved to a new Sheffield office as part of its growth strategy and continued investment in Yorkshire.

Withers & Rogers has relocated to a 4127sq ft office at 1 St Paul’s Place, in the heart of the city’s commercial district.

Bosses say the modern second-floor workspace has been designed to support flexible and collaborative working, while providing an improved environment for clients and colleagues as the firm continues to expand.

They add the investment comes as the region continues to strengthen its position in technology-led research and development, with expertise spanning software, cleantech, advanced materials and medtech.

Gemma McGeough, partner and lead of the Sheffield office at Withers & Rogers, said: “Our move to 1 St Paul's Place marks an exciting new chapter for our Sheffield team.

“We've built a strong presence in Yorkshire over the past 17 years, and this investment reflects our confidence in both the region and the innovative businesses we support.

“Yorkshire is a dynamic region with many early-stage innovators, developing world-leading solutions and our role in helping them to commercialise their IP is vital to the local economy.

“Our new office is an ideal place for our team to collaborate, welcome clients and continue supporting innovators in realising their commercial goals.”

Withers & Rogers established its Sheffield operation in 2009 and has since built a strong presence across Yorkshire, advising clients ranging from start-ups to established manufacturers and global technology companies.

Its Sheffield relocation forms part of wider investment across Withers & Rogers’ UK and European office network, which also includes bases in Munich and Paris.

The specialist firm advises businesses on patents, trade marks, designs, copyright, trade secrets and wider intellectual property strategy, helping clients protect and maximise the value of their innovations.
