Distinctive Communications expands with specialist hire
Bristol-based communications agency Distinctive Communications has appointed Emma Beavis to lead a new visual content service as it expands its offering.
Emma is an experienced videographer, digital content creator and creative designer, with a background producing digital media and visual content for charities, purpose-led businesses and public sector organisations.
She also brings experience from a creative design agency and, alongside a degree in illustration, has expertise in animation and motion graphics.
Emma said: “I’m really excited to be joining the team at Distinctive and can’t wait to bring my skills and passion for storytelling to the role.
“The power of visual content to connect people and bring stories to life is what fuels me, so I can’t wait to get stuck into capturing our client's stories and projects with authenticity, creativity and impact.”
Emma’s appointment comes as Distinctive moves into new offices at Society Building in Bristol and secures several new clients, including work with Homes England and partners, Hotel Indigo in Gloucester and First Bus in the West of England.
The agency was also named Small to Medium Consultancy of the Year for South West England and Wales at the 2026 PRCA Dare Awards.
Distinctive director and founder Ben Lowndes added: “Clients say to us they need creative content support and Emma’s appointment is a natural extension of the services we already offer to them.
“This is a new hire for us, and I was struck by the quality and ambition of the candidates who applied for the role.
“Emma’s passion and talent for visual storytelling shone through, and her skills fit perfectly within our team.
“We’re in an exciting period of growth and look forward to the opportunities this service will create, for our team and our clients.”
